“ One of the best sushi experience, real authentic. Only 12 persons per round is accepted. Recommend to additional order Sake pairing as Sake served here are really really good. ”
“ Honestly bang for the buck! Stellar fish quality, shari, and service! The slightly warm and more flavorful shari brings out the kuruma ebi’s full flavor. Kanpachi zuke , akami zuke, chutoro and anago were a few of my favorites. ”
“ Note: the entrance to the establishment is a bit hard to find on Google maps so please get there a few minutes before your reservation just in case! The restaurant is immaculately clean. Food was excellent and service was great. Patrons were offered an option for smaller/half portion rice with sushi, which is great for those watching their carbs intake One of the servers was a bit clumsy and knocked a patron's half glass of beer over. They then gave them the same amount (half a glass) of beer in a smaller glass. The toilets were very clean and packeted mouth washers were also available ”
“ One of the best 3-stars Michelin Sushi restaurants in Japan for sure. Not to mention the taste, It was greatful for their hospitality. I will definitely visit again when I come to Fukuoka. ”

“ Excellent service and mind blowing sushi. Even though Mr. Sakai has only taken eight english classes, he still managed to answer all my questions. What else can be said about this place.... Mr. Sakai has three michelin stars and has three tabelog gold awards (2018, 2019, 2020). With these kinds of awards, you know this place will be amazing. ”
“ Shokunin of Sushi. Not many sushi restaurant is awarded 3 stars on michelin guide. Sakai was in the 3 stars list in 2019 and received Tabelog Silver award on the latest 2023 list. The hospitality, the quality of ingredient, the expressing of the flavor, decoration and cooking skill are in a mastery level. Not so many restaurant make you feel happy in every dishes and Sakai is one of those. No doubt that Sakai is on the top 10 list of sushi restaurant in Japan. Heavenly bite!! ”
“ Fit all the criterial for Michelin 3 stars, although Michelin not operate in this area anymore. Good wine and sake pairing, some additional items can order. Booking is relatively easy for a Tabelog top 10 sushi in Japan plus a gold award. Endomae style, at least 30% cheaper than same level restaurant in Tokyo. ”
